Job description

Title: Health Information Consultant

Location: Remote, must work PST

Description:
The Health Information Consultant will help manage our Health Information Organization/Vendor. The HIE will have worked for a Health Information Exchange, worked with EHRs, understands interoperability and what it takes to get providers connected to an HIE. They also understand the capabilities of an HIE. They will need to have a blend of technical expertise and business knowledge.

You Will Be Successful If:

Organizational Skills:
- Account Management
- Efficient record-keeping and filing systems
- Ability to manage large volumes of patient data
- Data quality control and auditing procedures

Communication and Collaboration:
- Effective communication with clinicians, administrative staff, and patients
- Teamwork skills to collaborate on data management initiatives

Compliance and Regulations:
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations and privacy practices
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations
- Experience with data security protocols

What You Will Bring:

Expertise in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.)
Proficiency in medical coding (ICD-10, CPT)
Data entry and manipulation skills
Knowledge of data analytics tools
Health Information Organization (HIE) knowledge and experience
Experience with data exchange protocols
- i.e. FHIR, HL7 and HL7 message types.
- Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes (LOINC)
