KBR is seeking a Project Coordinator to support our NASA AMES Research Center ARTS Program for KBR’s Science and Space division. The purpose of ARTS Program is to provide mission critical support for researchers with high-fidelity environments to conduct simulated flight and Air Traffic Management (ATM) research and advance the state-of-the-art simulation technology. One specific project, the NASA AMES’ Air Traffic Management-eXploration (ATM-X), supports the modernization of today’s air transportation system through a diverse portfolio of core capabilities, which include remotely supervised missions up through high-altitude operations. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for liaising with managers and clients to ensure needs are met to support ATM-X project goals and objectives. He or she will serve as a point of communication between company teams and external resources to support strategic partnerships.
The work will be performed at the NASA AMES Research Center facility in Mountain View, California.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of other coordinators and ensuring that the project’s calendars and goals are managed as needed.
- Coordinating internal and external partners to schedule meetings and follow up actions as needed
- Analyzing project processes and adapting them as needed to achieve optimal processes
- Achieving organizational goals while adhering to standards and best practices
- Ensuring that all aspects of a project coordination are organized and in conformance with timeline and deliverables requirement
- Assigning and monitoring schedules effectively to boost project efficiency
- Supporting strategic partnerships with outside resources, including third-party vendors and researchers
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Education: Must have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in project coordination and administration
- Strong verbal & written communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task, and detail-oriented
- Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft office suite
- Ability to write notes and actions in a clear and concise manner
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Prior experience supporting a NASA contract
- Knowledge and experience with project scheduling tools (i.e., MS Project, etc.)
- Proficient in Confluence
Basic Compensation:
$51,900 - $77,800
The offered rate will be based on contract affordability and the selected candidate’s working location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
