Your Title: Accounting Assistant

Your Location: Remote/anywhere within the USA

You Report To: Senior, Account Payable

Compensation: $19.58/hr

About the Opportunity:
First Help Financial, voted and certified as a “Great Place to Work” by our workforce for three years in a row, is adding a new partner to our Accounting department to accommodate our remarkable growth. This is a temporary three (3) month assignment.

What you will do:

Your duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Payment and bank transaction reconciliations
  • GL accounts reconciliations
  • Maintaining accounting databases, including applying transactions on the loan management system and entering transactions into the general ledger (Sage Intact);
  • Other duties as assigned by Senior Accountant

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred;
  • At least 1 year’s experience related to bank reconciliations
  • Proficiency in MS Office including strong Excel skills;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to perform a volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Analytical, with excellent problem-solving abilities;
  • Previous experience with Sage Intact a huge plus.
