Pivot, an NRTC company, is a marketing and customer experience agency with a focus on collaborating with people who are doing meaningful work in the communities they serve. Pivot comes alongside these organizations to help them grow and thrive by assisting them in defining and living out their brands, telling their unique stories, and strengthening relationships with their customers. Pivot has four practice areas, including broadband marketing, broadband CX, broadband vendors, and nonprofits.

Job Summary
We are seeking a Sales professional with a demonstrated track record of originating and closing new business for professional services. The ideal candidate will bring an existing professional network from the telecom and/or utility industries.

The Business Development Account Executive is a dynamic, full-cycle sales role responsible for driving revenue growth at Pivot. This position encompasses both the Hunter and Farmer roles. As a Hunter, you will focus on identifying and cultivating relationships with new prospects in the telecom, broadband, and utility industries, ultimately closing new business opportunities. In the Farmer role, you will manage and expand revenue opportunities with existing and past clients, ensuring sustained growth and client satisfaction. This position requires a proactive approach to sales, leveraging your skills to build long-lasting client relationships and exceed revenue targets.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve or exceed the position’s annual revenue quota using both consultative and relational selling skills
  • Prepare daily/weekly/quarterly and annual action plans to achieve and exceed annual targets
  • Deliver presentations, proposals and price quotes to qualified prospects and clients
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and work industry-based tradeshows and events, including tradeshow booth participation
  • Work collaboratively with internal Subject Matter Experts to ensure proper client offerings
  • Adhere to the Pivot Sales Process and Pivot’s Customer Experience responsibilities
  • Embody Pivot’s Core Value Statement, practices, and standards
  • Work independently without constant direction or direct supervision
  • Track and monitor all activities and opportunities within Pivot’s CRM System
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).  Experience working within a CRM, preferably HubSpot and/or NetSuite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in developing and closing sales leads, preferably in the telecom and/or electric utility industries
  • Experience in selling professional services is preferred
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform in a high-paced work environment
  • Demonstrate persistence and the ability to overcome obstacles
  • Ability to make professional sales presentations to C-Level Executives and groups of all sizes
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients
  • A true team player that thrives on being a part of something bigger than themselves
  • Must possess a high level of initiative, and a can-do attitude focused on the client’s needs
  • Must be a creative problem solver resulting in delivering an exceptional client experience
Minimum Education and Experience   
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, Communications, Management, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Work is typically performed in a remote office setting 
  • Occasionally travel may be required up to 30-40%
