We have a great contract opportunity for an Account Development Manager based out of the Greater Toronto Area to cover a 12-month maternity leave starting in June 2025.
This Account Development Manager will be responsible for driving results and relationships with our largest corporate accounts in Canada. Key responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to
Achieve forecast and market share objectives within a given set of key accounts and distributors (typically corporate head office structure) through the development of customer partnerships and the implementation of business plans that include distribution, pricing, promotion, education and shelf management strategies.
Be the lead point of contact for all sales activities, serving as the Voice of Customer in developing and executing initiatives that will achieve mutual and profitable growth objectives.
Coordinate and leverage internal cross-functional resources (sales, marketing, supply chain & finance) to develop plans that will maximize results at the customer level.
The successful candidate must be able to coordinate internal company resources & build working relationship (sales management & sales reps, marketing, supply chain & customer care, finance) focused upon maximizing results across LifeScan’s key customers and strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve account forecasts by developing and delivering on business plan goals
Partner cross-functionally to develop and execute promotional plans
Prioritize decisions based on ROI analyses to deliver market share and volume objectives efficiently
Actively manage trade and marketing budgets for accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness
Resolve issues and business gaps and identify new opportunities
Key Working Relationships
External Customers Develop partnerships with key national pharmacy customers assigned. This includes establishing cross-functional relationships, category management, professional services, marketing, supply chain, logistics and finance as required
Sales Team - Work with Sales Leadership, Account Development Manager (ADM) team, Territory Managers (TM) & Regional Business Managers (RBMs) to inform strategy, share best practices and communicate sales direction in order to meet business objectives
Sales Analytics - Leverage available reporting tools and collaborate with Analytics to help shape relevant, data-driven insight and decisions
Marketing - Collaboratively develop account/channel specific program to profitably grow LifeScan sales & market share. Incorporate account direction into POA programs, provide competitive intelligence & market dynamics
Supply Chain & Customer Care - Work with Customer Logistics Services for demand planning and to improve customer logistics
Accounting - Manage customer specific bankbooks to track spending to achieve overall territory spending and ROI objectives. Maintain spend management

7+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of consistent, positive sales results in the CPG, medical device or pharmaceutical industry
Direct national key account management working with buyers, category directors, pharmacy/professional services and executive level head office staff of major pharmacy chains an asset
Experience & knowledge of LifeScan Canada commercial model & value proposition an asset
Knowledge of trade and retail market (OTC/diagnostics or pharmaceutical preferable), competitive products and industry at a national level
Strong understanding of Strategic Customer and Relationship Management skills
