Pre-Sales Engineer (New York, Boston, or East Coast Remote USA)

The Role

TRG Screen is on the hunt for a Pre-Sales Engineer that will be working closely with the Sales and Marketing Teams and Chief Revenue Officer. This role reports right into the Head of Solution Engineering and will be required to technically and commercially assist the sales process. From engaging with customers, understanding their requirements, demonstrating our solutions, solving problems and achieving customer satisfaction with outstanding sales results.

The Pre-Sales Engineer plays an instrumental role in the sales cycle, acting as a technical advisor and product advocate. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and customer-facing skills to effectively communicate product value to potential clients. By understanding customer needs and demonstrating how a company’s solutions can meet them. This role will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing and Product Management to relay customer feedback and requirements. Currently hiring in US Remote (EST zone preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations of TRG Screen's suite of products to prospective clients.
  • Partner with sales teams to develop winning strategies and provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle.
  • Work closely with product management, engineering, and other internal teams to stay updated on product developments and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, conduct discovery calls and provide sales support.
  • Share feedback from customers and prospects with internal teams to contribute to product improvement.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and ensure TRG solutions are positioned effectively.
  • Generate technical sales materials including product specifications, value propositions, and competitive positioning.
  • Oversee and coordinate the execution of POCs and trials for our solutions.
  • Collaborate with post-sales and customer success teams internally to ensure smooth transition of clients after the sales process.
  • Manage customer expectations throughout pre- and post-sales.
  • Assist with the responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs) with detailed technical solutions and pricing information.
  • Support post-sales handoff by ensuring proper knowledge transfer to implementation teams

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the fintech, banking, or SaaS sectors, preferably with exposure to market data management solutions.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to translate complex technical features into clear business benefits.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical solution selling and conducting product demonstrations.
  • Highly collaborative team player with a proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Understanding of financial market data ecosystem, including major vendors (Bloomberg, LSEG etc.) market data offerings and data classifications is a plus.
  • Previous experience with market data management platforms or similar enterprise software solutions is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Will prioritize candidates based in New York or Boston or East Coast Remote.

Salary Range
$110,000$120,000 USD
