Process Improvement Specialist - REMOTE
Role and Responsibilities
The Process Improvement Specialist is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing workflows, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our organization. The Process Improvement Specialist is responsible for maintaining an effective and professional relationship with internal customers while positively representing Liviniti and its entities. The Process Improvement Specialist is responsible for providing guidance and direction to Liviniti's internal customers, clients, and vendors with a constant awareness of the impact on employees, members, clients, pharmacies, and prescribers. This role will routinely lead process improvement projects. The Process Improvement Specialist is required to perform, but not limited to, the following duties and undertake the following responsibilities professionally:
- Process Assessment and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing processes within Liviniti.
- Analyze data and key performance indicators to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and feedback on current processes.
- Develop and Implement Improvement Strategies:
- Design and implement effective process improvement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Liviniti and its entities.
- Work with the project sponsor to accurately identify necessary stakeholders.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define and prioritize improvement opportunities.
- Partner with Process and Product owners to clearly define and document IT needs, when needed.
- Utilize industry best practices and benchmarks to drive process enhancements.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners to enhance collaboration and innovation.
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage process improvement projects from initiation to completion.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Create and adhere to charter requirements, working to avoid scope creep.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and implementation of improvements.
- Change Management:
- Develop and implement change management plans to ensure smooth transitions during process changes.
- Provide training and support to staff affected by process improvements.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
- Partner with Process and Product owners to drive completion of SOPs, Policy and Procedure documentation, and communication to impacted areas of the business.
- Metrics and Reporting:
- Adhere to established key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of process improvements.
- Regularly report on the progress of improvement initiatives to stakeholders.
- Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and guide future improvements.
- Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
- Ensure that all process improvements align with regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Abide by all obligations under HIPAA related to Protected Health Information (PHI).
- If a HIPAA violation is discovered, whether individually or by another, you must report the violation to the Compliance Officer and/or Human Resources.
- Attend, complete, and demonstrate competency in all required HIPAA Training offered by the company.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
- Full-time/Salaried/Exempt.
- Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CT. We cover clients from the West to the East Coast, work times must be adjusted to cover meetings in all time zones. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays pursuant with industry demands.
Travel
No travel is expected at this time, but as the department evolves, this requirement reserves minimal travel that may be necessary.
Required Education and Experience
- 3 years of Process improvement experience.
- 3 years working in the PBM Industry or equivalent Healthcare Industry.
- 5 years of Project management experience.
- High School or equivalent.
- Critical Thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Professional interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with process mapping tools (Visio, Lucid).
- Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Exemplary Organizational Skills.
