This fully remote role is tailored for Independent Contractors, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately transcribe audio recordings of depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
Strictly adhere to style guides to ensure the production of verbatim transcripts.
Maintain exceptional attention to detail while processing complex audio content.
Collaborate effectively with our supportive in-office team for guidance when needed.

Required Skills

Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
Exceptional listening abilities and literacy skills, including comprehensive spelling and grammar proficiency.
Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and adhering to client-specific style guides.
High typing proficiency, both in speed and accuracy.
Capability to process sensitive or potentially offensive content.
Familiarity with legal terminology is essential; court reporting students are also encouraged to apply.
Ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

Significant prior experience in legal transcription or a related field is required.
Strong organizational and time management skills are essential to succeed in this role.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but specific degree requirements are not mandatory.
