Responsibilities

Project Development: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including power purchase agreements, EPC and equipment procurement, leases and land acquisition/lease documents. .
Project Finance: Assist in the financing of renewable energy projects, including tax equity and IRA related finance matters. .
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Advise the commercial team in the acquisition of development stage renewable energy projects, including due diligence and document negotiation.
Corporate Governance: Assist in corporate governance and decision making, including at the investment committee and board level. Asist in entity formation and management.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with renewable energy projects.

Job Requirements

Education: J.D. (Juris Doctor) from an accredited law school.
Licensure: Admission to the bar in a U.S. jurisdiction.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of legal experience, with a focus on development, M&A or project finance.
Prior experience in the renewable energy industry.
Strong negotiation and drafting, skills.
Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
