Job Summary

We are seeking a  Product Manager  to support our  GEMS group  at our  Wilmington, MA  location.     *This is a remote opportunity*

 

The Product Manager will maintain and grow the business through client interaction/management, introducing new product ideas and ensure milestones for existing business are met. Responsible for ensuring budgeted profits and margins are met for the product line(s).

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Manage assigned products in RMS portfolio, including oversight of the lifecycle of existing products, identify opportunities for improvement, and make strategic decisions about product offerings.
  • Analyze sales data and customer insights to gain a deep understanding of market trends, customer preferences, and sales performance. Make data-driven decisions to optimize product strategies and drive revenue growth.
  • Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion by conducting market research, gathering customer feedback, and assessing market demand. Develop and execute plans to introduce new products or features that align with market needs and business objectives.
  • Advocate for customers, gather feedback and insights to understand their needs, preferences, and pain points. Prioritize product enhancements and drive customer-centric product development.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape, analyze competitor products, pricing, and marketing strategies. Identify market gaps, anticipate market trends, and develop strategies to stay ahead of competition.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop effective go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, pricing, messaging, and promotional activities. Coordinate product launches, ensuring successful product introductions and adoption in the market.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in life sciences or related discipline.  
  • Five to six years related experience in all phases of the use and husbandry or marketing of laboratory animals.
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Must be able to travel ~ 15% domestically.
  • This position requires strong analytical skills, market awareness, strategic thinking, and effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Must be able to influence resources/staff without direct reporting relationships.
  • Ability to multi-task, excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail required.
  • Must possess analytical thinking and problem solving skills and be able to prioritize and re-evaluate priorities as situations change.
  • Working knowledge of computer software (ie: MS Office suite)

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA in life sciences or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of databases.

 

The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $115,000 annually.  Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
