BetterMynd is an online mental health teletherapy platform for college students. By partnering directly with colleges and universities throughout the U.S., BetterMynd enables students to have live 50-minute video-therapy sessions with our network of several hundred licensed mental health providers, right from the privacy and convenience of their laptops and mobile devices.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Clinical Operations Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordination of department activities, tracking and support of counselors' professional development activities, onboarding and offboarding, payroll support, communication with counselors, and maintaining compliance with credentialing requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Credentialing and Compliance Coordination
  • Counselor Recruitment Support (incl. report generation and needs monitoring; communication and scheduling with candidates)
  • Onboarding and Orientation (incl. communication and facilitation of platform training and onboarding process, periodic check-ins and monitoring of new counselors, survey deployment and results reporting)
  • Professional Development (incl. monitoring and tracking counselors' progress in their professional development efforts)
  • Manage and respond to counselor support requests via Helpscout
  • Departmental Operational Support
    • Coordinate scheduling and bookings for the department
    • Enter and coordinate counselor payroll adjustments
    • Manage counselors’ platform status (i.e. leave requests, offboarding)
    • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the department
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to clinical operations
    • Assist in various additional operational tasks, including but not limited to contracting and invoicing process coordination
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • At least 2+ years of experience working with operational systems
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong project coordination skills and professional experiences
  • Strong aptitude for learning or using business application software such as Monday.com, Quicksight, and Google Workspaces
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to tolerate ambiguity and work in a highly dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated diversity, equity and inclusion competencies
  • Located in the United States; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in onboarding in a healthcare or clinical setting
  • Prior experience working in higher education
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and credentialing in the healthcare field
  • Previous experience working in an early stage startup
  • Candidates located in the northeast will be given priority consideration

Compensation
  • $60K-$70K, DOE; health & dental benefits; unlimited PTO; employee equity

Travel
  • Some limited travel required. Periodic travel to conferences, quarterly departmental meetings and company retreats.
  • Quarterly department meetings take place in Upstate NY
