Job description

THE ROLE:    

  • This position will report to the: Vice President - HR
  • Travel Requirement: 25-30%
  • Location: Hybrid
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Employment Category: Full Time Regular
  • Pay Range: $130k-180k

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

    

The Director of Human Resources - Operations is responsible for leading and managing the HR manufacturing function of Generous Brands, supporting the operations and functional teams. This role will serve as a strategic partner to site leadership teams across all locations, ensuring alignment of HR strategies with business objectives, and will play a critical role is driving organizational development, talent management, employee relations, and compliance initiatives. 


JOB DUTIES: 

  • Collaborate with site leadership and functional teams to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies that support these goals
  • Lead initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, including change management, team development, and leadership training
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management and team members on HR-related issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management Manage HR Manufacturing Business Partners across all sites to maintain a strong functional team through effective training, coaching, team building, and succession planning
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct salary assessments and reviews in partnership with Generous Brands Total Rewards team to ensure competitive and equitable offerings that align with company policies and market trends
  • Develop and analyze HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives for all sites and provide insights to leadership for informed decision-making
  • Lead or participate in company-wide HR projects, ensuring the successful implementation of HR programs and initiatives at the site level
  • Implement and facilitate training and development programs tailored to the needs of specific sites in conjunction with standard offerings and trainings for Generous Brands
  • Partner with functional leaders to implement and support high performing team framework for all sites
  • Consistently communicate with other HR teams for updates, collaboration, and resolutions
  • Look to continuously improve processes, systems and technology, measurement practices, and metrics reporting
  • Elicit feedback regarding the effectiveness of HR Ops services and activities and, when appropriate, modify activities
  • Foster and maintain strong internal relationships with key HR and business leaders
  • Prioritize projects and activities and appropriately delegate and allocate work among team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or human resource related field and 7 plus years of experience and/or training in a human resource role or an equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a fast paced, high volume food production/manufacturing facility
  • 5+ years of directly related experience in Human Resources Generalist supporting 300+ employees 
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record 

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:    

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in human resources modeling, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources
  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork
  • Extensive knowledge of various employment laws and practice

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:    

  • Bilingual –English/Spanish 
  • Experience in a Fortune 500 company 
  • PHR, SPHR or CHPR certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS:

  • Must be able to sit for an extended period of time during work period

HOURS & WORKDAYS:

 

  • 1st shift (8:00am-5:00pm) Monday through Friday, when business requires before/after hours will be mandatory
