Job Description

As a Lead Generation Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth across the UK and Ireland. This exciting opportunity allows you to leverage your communication skills to connect with decision-makers in various industries, from small local businesses to large PLCs. You’ll be at the heart of the company’s efforts to restart and maintain a healthy sales funnel, gathering valuable market intelligence and contributing to the global push for energy efficiency. Your work will directly impact businesses’ bottom lines while promoting sustainable energy practices, making this role both financially rewarding and environmentally impactful.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct 120-300 outbound calls daily to potential clients, focusing on fact-finding and lead qualification
  • Update and cleanse existing customer data in Pipedrive CRM, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GDPR
  • Engage with decision-makers to gather crucial information about their energy supply and contract situations
  • Identify and secure up-to-date contact information for key decision-makers within target companies
  • Schedule follow-up calls or appointments for the expert energy consultant team
  • Maintain strict adherence to TPS (Telephone Preference Service) and GDPR regulations in all communications
  • Provide concise daily reports on call activities and lead generation progress
  • Contribute to the company’s expansion into new service areas like decarbonization and solar energy solutions

Requirements
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear, professional phone manner and the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Proven experience in B2B telemarketing or lead generation, preferably in the energy sector or related industries
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, particularly Pipedrive, and ability to adapt to integrated phone systems
  • Sharp attention to detail for accurate data management and reporting
  • Resilience and skill in overcoming objections to engage prospects in meaningful conversations
  • Basic understanding of energy contracts and the UK/Irish energy market (preferred but not required)
  • Native or near-native English language proficiency, both written and spoken
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating remotely with a UK-based team
  • Passion for sustainability and interest in the renewable energy sector is a plus
