Job description

As the Commercial Development Manager, Advanced Therapy Solutions – Northeast, you will be responsible for all sales results of accounts in a defined territory of Massachusetts and for developing strong customer relations according to the organizational strategy for the assigned customer base. An essential part of this role is using our CRM system, Salesforce (SFDC) to manage sales activities and customer interactions effectively, as this tool is the foundation of our sales framework and operational sales steering.

You must be located within a commutable distance to Boston, MA.

What you will accomplish together with us:

  • You will promote the organization's products and services within the greater Boston area, including Key Accounts, to achieve sales and revenue targets.  Your role will primarily focus on sales of consumables and reagents to support cell and gene therapy space.
  • In this role, you will identify new business opportunities aligned with the organization's overall market and growth strategy.
  • You will achieve/exceed established sales targets.
  • You will actively use our Salesforce CRM to manage and document leads and opportunities, customer interactions, and sales activities, ensuring that all customer and opportunity information is up-to-date and accurately entered into the system.
  • You will analyze CRM data for assigned customers to identify trends, generate customer insights, and track sales performance.
  • Your duties will include actively driving newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace and proactively following up on the successful implementation of sales activity.
  • You will assess and analyze customer needs, generate leads, respond to customer inquiries, and suggest products and services as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement account plans and request and coordinate resources in line with the account plans.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create a higher market perception and develop successful strategies to gain business from an account.
  • Coordinate and participate in marketing activities in assigned territory.
  • You will regularly assess each customer's potential and plan to realize it in business.
  • Manage and build strong customer relationships for long-term partnerships.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory (approximately 75%).  Additionally, occasional travel to sales meetings and trade shows around the country is required.

  

What will convince us:

  • You have completed a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
  • You possess 5+ years of field sales experience.  Consumable and reagent sales are a definite plus.  Cell and gene therapy sales experience or key account management is also a plus.
  • You have hands-on working knowledge and proactive usage of CRM – SFDC is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
