We are actively hiring for Private Equity Analyst (Remote).



About the company we're hiring:

We are seeking for Private Equity Analyst for a fastest growing private investment firm that has raised a Search Fund with the goal of identifying high-quality businesses to acquire, own, and operate for the long term.



We are looking for motivated individuals with an interest in Private Equity, Banking, Investing, or Entrepreneurship who would like to learn how to source deals, run due diligence analysis, run LBO models, and learn about the private equity industry.

Ideal background: Experience with sales, deal sourcing, finance, and accounting

What the position will offer:

The successful candidate can expect to receive the following through this position:

  • Experience in private equity industry broadly and an understanding of how mid/small market firms operate from both an investing and business operations perspective
  • Training on investing topics including financial modeling, characteristics of a good business, financial analysis, and due diligence
  • Mentorship and experience working directly with Maple Point Capitals leadership team and exposure to live deals and transactions
  • Experience with team-building and development process such as recruiting, networking, mock interviews, and resume review
  • Resume enhancement through a valuable hands-on experience; references and letters of recommendation contingent on positive performance

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Work closely with the firms leadership to identify industries, sub-industries and businesses that meet the our investment criteria
  • Review live deals and screen companies using Maple Point Capitals proprietary screening process
  • Complete research to analyze industries, sub-industries and businesses of interest and present findings to the deal team
  • Data management (ensure the integrity of data that is entered into the CRM & upgrade the data currently in the CRM)
  • Participate in seller and broker calls
  • Help with due diligence on target acquisitions
  • Support ad-hoc requests such as generating reports and statistics, gathering market information on companies and industries, etc.
  • Help automate and improve Maple Point Capitals systems and processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Business Administration (or equivalent), MBA preferred
  • Excellent analytical, research, organization, and written and verbal skills
  • Time management and prioritization skills to complete deliverables in a climate of competing demands
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to confidently and effectively manage relationships across diverse stakeholders including sellers, brokers, and principal
  • Constructive and proactive approach to work with ability to problem-solve and persevere in dynamic situations
  • Superior work ethic, integrity, and commitment & integrity with a willing to go above and beyond
  • Uncompromising attention to detail and results driven
  • Ability to to work independently and be self-directed
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Google suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom and other financial software applications

Work Mode: Full time Remote job

Work Timings and Days: ~50-55 hrs / week (Monday-Friday), timing flexible would like to have 2-3 hours overlap with EST working time (i.e., 9 AM 8 PM)

Budget:  550 USD per month

Benefits: N/A

Interview Rounds: 1-2 and small take home assignment (~2.5-3 hrs of work)
