Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm California Time with 1 hour unpaid break (8 paid hours per day) . There is room for some flexibility.

Scope:

  • Work remotely as part of an international team

  • Handle sensitive medical and financial information with utmost confidentiality

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing issues

  • Contribute to the optimization of billing processes and procedures

  • Stay updated with changes in medical billing regulations and best practices

Responsibilities:

  • Process medical bills and insurance claims accurately and efficiently

  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant healthcare laws

  • Handle claim denials and appeals process

  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient billing records

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in medical billing

  • Thorough understanding of medical coding and billing systems

  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Proficiency in relevant medical billing software and technologies
