Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Officer to join our innovative remote lending team. This position is perfect for individuals with a minimum of three years’ experience in mortgage lending or origination who have demonstrated success in connecting borrowers with the right lending solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with real estate professionals, underwriting teams, mortgage agents, and closing representatives to ensure seamless transactions.
  • Research and negotiate competitive mortgage rates and terms to provide optimal mortgage products for clients.
  • Manage and convert live inbound leads efficiently to expand your client portfolio.
  • Establish and maintain referral networks with real estate agents, mortgage lenders, and banking professionals.
  • Keep abreast of current lending rates and emerging trends in the mortgage sector.
  • Submit mortgage application files on behalf of clients, ensuring thorough accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with mortgage industry colleagues, including processors, account executives, and realtors, to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Educate clients on diverse loan products, funding avenues, and the processes involved in buying or refinancing, empowering them to make informed choices.

Required Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of the loan process from origination to closing.
  • Familiarity with a variety of loan products.
  • Proficient in loan origination software as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Outstanding time management, communication, and analytical abilities, with a proactive approach to independent work.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in real estate law, banking, finance, business administration, or economics is preferred.
  • Current NMLS licensure or certification from the National Association of Mortgage Brokers is required.
  • Proven experience in mortgage lending or origination, with a minimum of three years in the field.
