Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst - Remote (Atlanta or Houston)

Location: Remote (Candidates must reside in Atlanta, GA or Houston, TX)

Salary: Up to $115,000

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Financial Analyst to join our innovative finance team. This role is essential in providing analytical support and enhancing our financial strategies while allowing you to work remotely. Your expertise in financial data analysis will be critical in driving informed decisions and contributing to our organization's success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive cost accounting financial statements with a focus on product line evaluation, delivering valuable metrics for data analysis.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting cycle and ongoing forecasting to optimize financial planning outcomes.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of accounting records, maintaining data integrity across all reports.
  • Analyze operational performance to offer insights that drive profitability and success.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to guarantee precise financial reporting.
  • Develop ad-hoc reports and fulfill additional reporting requirements as directed by management.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts with various sub-ledgers and system data to maintain consistency and accuracy.
  • Execute month-end closing activities, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiencies in financial reporting processes and implement best practices.
  • Uphold confidentiality in handling sensitive organizational information.
  • Prepare monthly and ad-hoc variance analyses to address discrepancies from anticipated results.
  • Adhere to department policies and procedures to ensure compliance and uphold our organizational standards.

Required Skills

  • Proficient analytical skills with a strong emphasis on financial data interpretation.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, along with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Access (or comparable database tools).
  • Ability to produce detailed financial statements and reports.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance, demonstrating proficiency in account reconciliation, financial analysis, and report preparation.
