We are looking for a Staff Delivery Manager to ensure our product and platform teams succeed in delivery, primarily helping teams identify and remove impediments impacting our team’s ability to deliver. This role will support multiple cross-functional product teams).

We see Delivery Management as the key to removing obstacles for teams. These obstacles may involve other product teams, and sometimes they may involve non‐product functions. In a single day, as a Delivery Manager you may track down someone in marketing and press them for a decision or an approval, ensure a strategic decision is confirmed with a product manager, coordinate with delivery managers on your team to prioritize a key dependency, persuade a product designer to create a visual asset for one of the software engineers, run a retrospective for a product team, and deal with a dozen other similar roadblocks.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with our product and engineering organization and partner with our Agile Transformers to ensure effective delivery.

  • Constantly look to identify impediments early, actively working to resolve those impediments, and escalate when needed.

  • Manage and track cross team dependencies.

  • Manage and track high-integrity commitments.

  • Provide proactive visibility and effectively communicate delivery targets, commitments, and progress.

  • Encourage a culture of team-driven decision making and commitment.

  • Where appropriate, coach the teams to improve collaboration and outcomes.

Who You Are:

  • Good general understanding of how large-scale software systems are designed, built, tested, deployed and into the hands of customers.

  • Strong understanding of delivery and go-to-market methods and metrics.

  • Good general understanding of the role of product managers, product designers, engineers, quality assurance, and DevOps.

  • At least 5 years of experience working in the engineering organization of a product company using common Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, XP)

  • Good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts

  • A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
