Job description

Why Patients Need You

The Solution Engineer role requires advanced technical knowledge and experience in collaborative (team) solutions including but not limited to Copilot, SharePoint Online, Teams/Messaging, M365 Integration; enabling the solution engineer to propose innovative solutions and produce associated system designs for the business.  The Solution Engineer is expected to understand and interpret internal and external business needs and to proactively implement new and improve existing solutions. 

What You Will Achieve

This position will help in the technical design and delivery of various Colleague Solutions services to the business, providing solution engineering design support with our vendors, helping design and launch new services, and have a keen focus on integration requests and governance across Pfizer platforms with Microsoft.  Services include but are not limited:

Integrations:

  • New software integration design

  • Documenting best practices and standards for Application Programming Interfaces (API) integrations

  • Documenting software integration methods

  • Resolving technical integration issues with existing systems (M365 Integration issues)

  • Improving the M365 governance process

  • Close customer interaction to execute on integrations

  • Ensure integrations use best methods and are efficient, robust and successful.

Services:

  • Coordinating with the Services Lead for technical guidance and escalation of our services (primarily Sharepoint Dev, Power Platform Dev, and emerging Copilot Studio services.) 

  • Working across managed service vendors, Colleague Solutions personnel and business clients to ensure optimal service delivery and support.

  • This position reports directly to the Director, Colleague Solutions, Solution Engineering. 

How You Will Achieve It

  • Implement and integrate emerging collaboration technologies that support the day to day and strategic needs of the business, as well as documented connectivity (integration) points between various systems through API (Application Programming Interface) extensions
  • Deliver, install, and document new collaboration solutions and services in conjunction with various Colleague Solutions teams
  • Lead technical services to identify and resolve business and or technical problems for existing integrations or applications.
  • Liaise with multiple Digital Teams, internal customers & external vendors to deliver solutions and resolve issues
  • Collaborate and work closely with other cross functional areas of Digital such as Enterprise Platforms team and Global Information Security to provide a seamless and unified integration experience

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Or an associate’s degree with 10 years of experience.
  • Or a bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience.
  • 5 years' experience with Microsoft and/or Search technologies
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations and create structure when necessary
  • Ability to work in matrixed environment
  • Cultural awareness
  • Quick to establish trust, respect, and connections
  • Cool under pressure and reads situations quickly 

Nice to have

  • Major in a technical field such as Information Technology or Life Sciences

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300.00 to $195,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
