We are actively seeking a meticulous and dedicated Bookkeeper to become an integral part of our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring precise financial documentation and the seamless operation of our financial systems. Your key tasks will encompass recording day-to-day transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing vital financial statements. Additionally, you will assist in ensuring adherence to applicable standards and support tax documentation processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately record daily financial transactions and oversee the posting process.
  • Verify the accuracy of entries in the day book, suppliers’ ledger, customers’ ledger, and general ledger.
  • Prepare financial records to progress the books to the trial balance stage.
  • Efficiently process accounts receivable and accounts payable along with payroll management.
  • Prepare and submit necessary financial documents.
  • Reconcile company accounts to guarantee accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist with tax payments and returns.
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare financial reports to facilitate management decision-making.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping.
  • Strong foundation in basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, FreshBooks).
  • Excellent data entry skills coupled with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to work autonomously while juggling multiple responsibilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is preferred.
