Job Overview

Join VIQ Solutions, a premier provider of transcription services to various industries, as we embrace a technology-driven workflow. We are seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract professionals who possess substantial expertise in transcribing depositions and hearings. This is a fully remote opportunity for Independent Contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process audio recordings and generate verbatim transcripts of depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings.
  • Maintain strict adherence to style guides and deadlines to ensure the highest quality of deliverables.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail while discerning spoken content and applying legal terminology.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
  • Exceptional listening abilities alongside outstanding literacy skills, including spelling and grammar proficiency.
  • Strong typing skills characterized by both speed and precision.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology is essential.
  • Capability to process sensitive audio/text content with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate in a remote work environment.
  • Must pass a background check.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in legal transcription or court reporting is required.
  • Court reporting students are also welcome to apply.
  • Currently, candidates from Massachusetts and California are not eligible for this opportunity.
