Your Role: The Community Impact Specialist drives the development and implementation of programs that meet the needs of social good organizations and align with our enterprise goals. In partnership with employees and social good organizations, you will enable and inspire moments that matter to drive engagement and performance.

CSAA Insurance Group has enjoyed high participation in hands-on, group volunteerism for years, with efforts in recent years to further develop additional methods of community impact, including skills-based, pro bono, employee giving and awareness, and action on social issues. In partnership with team members the Specialist will help create and implement volunteerism and other community impact engagements across the company, building programmatic structures to scale the work against audacious goals in the years ahead.

Your work:

  • Create and implement comprehensive, company-wide campaigns that generate real social impact. Foster engagements that bolster strategic business decisions, benefiting both communities and our company.

  • Harness creativity to design captivating pro bono, virtual and in-person engagements.

  • Partner with key stakeholders across the organization on additional opportunities to drive and embed community impact including wellness, sustainability and inclusion & belonging

  • Coordinate and collaborate with employee community impact champions to drive volunteerism, giving and engagement inside the company and across the communities we serve

  • Enable the success of our hands-on, group volunteerism program by creating tools that make it easier for employees to engage with social good organizations

  • Serve as an administrator of giving and volunteerism software, ensuring excellent user experience for our employees and timely disbursal of funding to community partners

  • Track and report on key performance indicators to internal and external stakeholders

  • Partner with team members on special initiatives that drive long-term growth of the inclusion, belonging, and community impact team

Required Experience, Education and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years Program Management experience with demonstrated ability to lead strategic projects from beginning to end, showing ownership of the entire process

  • Broad business knowledge of the organization to impact strategy, proactively identify new community and member related opportunities and develop resolution to critical issues

  • Experience and knowledge of community impact initiatives and program implementation.

  • Strong decision making, organizational planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills needed to successfully manage ongoing programs.

  • Significant experience developing, planning, and implementing projects.

  • As well as extensive experience in developing, writing and presenting business materials and presentations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills: Ability to convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documentation.

  • Valid Automobile Operators License

  • Willingness and ability to work non-standard business hours, such as nights, weekends and holidays, on an as-needed basis.

You are always looking for the next challenge, get excited by talking to people and building an understanding of their passions and expertise. You’re excited by the challenge of figuring out how you can build programs that inspire a shift in individuals, organizations and systems to make a better world.

  • Data Insights – Proficiency in data analysis and application. You have experience in making meaning out of data and leveraging those insights to assess and improve the effectiveness of programs and initiatives.

  • Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., participating in employee resource groups, volunteering, etc.)

  • Lives into cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: helping onboard new team members, building relationships, etc.)

  • Travels as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person events

  • Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc

The national average salary range for this position is $80,000 - $89,000.  However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $71,000 - $107,0000.  This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 8% of eligible pay.
