Global insurance and asset management company seeks a responsible, organized, dynamic and team-oriented person.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSIGNMENTS

You will have the responsibility for administering the CMDB process within the organization, working closely with other process leads and to ensure that Asset/CI specific information can be gathered and update with consistent followed processes.

 

For Project Functions:

•    When deemed necessary by Configuration Architecture person(s), participate in project related discussions and/or decision relative to CMDB Data, or Configuration Model changes.

•    Assist to define configuration management processes, document processes using process workflow and create process documentation.

•    Manually research, gather and load CI metadata into technology solution.

•    Assist to write user acceptance test (UAT) cases/UAT metadata and solution.

•    Create communications plan/communication material.

•    Create training plan/training material.

•    Project functions may require a "run function" task below that is established in the project to turn over the output to run support.    

 

And/or For Run Functions:

•    Execute on an/or provide oversight for one or more Configuration Management processes, as required.

•    Manage CI data that contribute to the delivery of an IT service: Software, Software License, License Key, Software Contracts, Virtual Server.

•    Ensure that CIs required to deliver services are properly controlled, and that accurate and reliable information about those CIs is available when and where it is needed.

•    Facilitate the documentation and creation/maintenance of frameworks for all applicable processes and procedures monitor for process compliance and adherence, ensure processes are performing according to the agreed and documented standard; continually review for best practice approach, practices, make suggestions and coordinate process/services improvements as appropriate.

•    Design, specify, implement detailed service, process measurements, and create/maintain applicable reports/dashboards. This information is provided at a variety of levels, operational details, operational dashboard, and governance dashboard.

•    Measurement and evaluation of process performance aligned to Critical Success Factors and Key Performance Indicators, as defined by the process.

•    Facilitate the day-to-day "request, receipt, identification, management, and decommission" of IT managed CIs in the source of truth CMDB.

•    Monitor all relevant Administrative Tools (i.e., Email, SharePoint, Service Management tool, Excel) daily and execute day to day duties as defined by process; and manage process related issues as they arise.

•    Perform verifications & audits. Provide status accounting reports.

•    Administer the Configuration Management "control" process as instructed.

•    Perform the following specific daily/weekly/monthly functions:

-Provide analysis integration with Change, Problem, Incident (CPI), normal CMDB data analysis,

Foundation Data, Templates update, etc.

-Support changes that have missing CIs - escalation to Config Team (both Local and Global) to work to get

CIs in CMDB (Service Owners and Global)

-Support the CMDB users and consumers.

-Help evaluate and improve the CMDB performance and maturity.

-Help conduct data gathering and analysis to ensure CMDB data quality strategy requirements as

related to CMDB.

-Perform and support CMDB relates tasks in INC/CHG/Service Request (SR) such as update/decom/analysis

as needed.

-Analyze, gather/consolidate, process emails, and follow ups to teams for their baseline as well as

validation and update in CMDB for data accuracy and quality.

-Provide information to requested teams, assist in CMDB look up data, ad-hoc CMDB reports,

dashboards, and data validation.


REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 years’ experience required;
  • Technical Competencies: General working knowledge of commonly utilized tools (e.g., Service Now, SharePoint, MS Project, MS Office products). Four-year degree required;
  • Must be competent in the use ServiceNow and the CMDB, managing configuration item data, classes, and attributes;
  • Knowledgeable in MS Excel (Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, compare, etc.);
  • Four-year degree required;
  • In related fields of study, or equivalent work experience;
  • Or 2-5 years of direct or indirect exposure to Service Management Service Asset & Configuration, Release, Change, Incident and Problem Management.
