Essential Job Functions
- Evaluate and negotiate settlement of automobile first and third-party physical damage claims within established settlement authority limits and negotiate any excessive storage charges.
- Explains procedures and answers inquiries for adjusting auto total loss claims.
- Analyzes information obtained to establish compliance with regulatory requirements and settlement value.
- Properly manage the Total Loss settlement process and rental expenses by working closely with appraisers, rental facilities, body shops, and salvage vendors. Includes managing deductibles and policy limits.
- Coordinates internal functions, including appraisal operations, SIU, subrogation, and salvage.
- Meet all quality standards and expectations per company best practices and comply with state-specific regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma; additional education up to bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an auto insurance Claims Adjuster
- Required to have or secure and maintain appropriate state adjuster license(s) and continuing education credits
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills; flexible and versatile
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

- Able to lift 0-10 pounds occasionally without assistance
