Job description

As Talent Advisors, we will be the liaison between our Bloom Partner and yourself during this recruitment process. -------
Hi, I’m Natalie Dusome, Founder and CEO of Poppy & Peonies, a fun and energetic brand that believes styles and function should co-exist. We’re passionate about creating practical pieces that help make life a little easier and lighten the load, literally.

Building Poppy & Peonies has been a wild adventure. The journey began when my daughter Poppy was born and my accessories no longer worked with my new life as a mom, I needed bags with pockets and organization that looked cool and had functionality.  I couldn’t find it, so I decided to create it, and in 2015 Poppy & Peonies was born.

We’ve come a long way in five years – from filling orders in my basement to appearing on Dragons’ Den, and now, expanding into new product categories and collaborating with some exciting influencers and brands. I’d be lying if I said it’s been nothing but smooth sailing, but thanks to our incredible community, we’ve never felt more loved and supported!

We believe in our responsibility to care for our environment and we are passionate about preserving the health and welfare of our planet, and the animals that live on it. All of our bags are made from high-quality vegan leather, and our entire product line is vegan, cruelty-free, and PETA-approved. We ship our products plastic-free and we use a combination of recycled, compostable, and biodegradable materials to mitigate shipping waste, and we are constantly looking for new ways to make our products and supply chain more sustainable to reduce our carbon footprint.

About the Role
You are a highly organized and detail-oriented Production and Logistics Manager with experience in the fashion industry. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end production process of our bags, ensuring that our products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and delivered on time to our warehouses. You will play a key role in our internal operations, collaborating cross-functionally with every member of the team.

Your efforts will be responsible for ensuring our products make their way smoothly into the hands of our customers.

The Opportunity
  • Production Management:
  • Overseeing all aspects of the production process, from the moment that a design is approved to the finished product.
  • Collaborating with designers to ensure manufacturability and quality standards are met.
  • Managing timelines and schedules to ensure products are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Working closely with suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate costs, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Conducting regular quality control inspections to ensure products meet brand specifications.

  • Logistics Management:
  • Coordinating the movement of goods from our suppliers to our warehouses to our DCs.
  • Tracking inventory and POs at all stages.
  • Overseeing inventory levels with our warehouses to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained without overstocking.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs across the production and logistics functions.

  • Vendor and Supplier Relations:
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues that arise.

  • What You Bring to the Table
  • You have a background in production and logistics management, preferably in the fashion or consumer goods industry.
  • You have a strong understanding of the production process, supply chain management, inventory management, and logistics.
  • You have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every product meets our high-quality standards, from raw materials to the finished product.
  • You have strong communication skills and can resolve or de-escalate challenging issues gracefully and confidently.
  • You have strong analytical skills, enabling you to break down complex problems, identify key patterns, and develop practical, data-driven solutions.
  • You have a proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • You’re a dynamic team player who thrives on collaboration and loves brainstorming with others to spark creative ideas!
  • You’re incredibly adaptable, ready to pivot and tackle changing priorities with energy and enthusiasm.
