Job Overview

We are currently on the lookout for experienced Legal/Judicial contract professionals who possess substantial expertise in transcribing depositions and hearings. This role offers the flexibility of a 100% remote Independent Contractor position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings.
  • Process audio recordings with meticulous attention to detail while adhering to established style guides to ensure the production of verbatim transcripts.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
  • Exceptional listening capabilities and outstanding literacy skills, including spelling and grammar.
  • Strong adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
  • Proficient typing skills in both speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology is essential.
  • Capability to handle extreme audio/text content (may include sensitive material).
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in legal transcription is required.
  • Court reporting students may also be considered for this role.
