Microsoft Dynamics ERP Architect

Role Purpose

An ERP Architect role will play a crucial role within the Business Central practice in supporting the building of high quality BC solutions and delivery to our clients. The role will cover both technical and analytical tasks therefore covering requirements clarifications, technical analysis and design, development, support and client interaction in order to deliver Dynamics BC based solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Building high quality design of solutions provided to clients with relative documentation as necessary
  • Implementation of technical solutions for customer requirements in Dynamics NAV / BC
  • Create integrations with external applications using different technologies
  • Ensuring all design/technical documentation is kept current
  • Deliver all development work adhering to project standards and methodologies, ensuring that all requirements are implemented successfully on time / budget
  • Be an active member of technical and design working groups within the practice when required
  • Be proactive in identifying bugs or areas for improvement in code or documentation
  • Adhere to best practice and KPMG technical standards during all development
  • Ensure proper code management takes place for all development work including source control, unit-testing and code reviews
  • Communicate progress updates to relevant parties
  • Identify any risks and issues early and raise through the appropriate governance channels


Skills And Requirements

  • Dynamics NAV / BC development experience with a good conceptual understanding of finance aspects and general business related knowledge, ideally having operated in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to liaise directly with client contacts when required and subsequently provide technical recommended solutions
  • Have experience in the full project life cycle and able to work independently as well as within a team
  • Able to analyse, design, develop client requirements and help in mentoring junior developers.
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • As this role will also involve interaction with foreign clients a good command of spoken and written English is essential
