Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership on operational and strategic financial issues and provide recommendations to the Board.
  • Lead the development of financial strategies, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analysis for the organization.
  • Manage financial compliance, risk frameworks, and relationships with stakeholders and funding organizations.
  • Oversee the production of financial reports, dashboards, and variance analysis to support decision-making.

Job description

Mandatory Functions
  • Partner with the Company’s Leadership on all operational and strategic issues as they arise
  • Cascade financial strategies to go into the company business plan for companies and ensure maximum alignment between organizational objectives and activities.
  • Lead the continual refinement of smarter information systems, provision of centralized information, increased financial and operational KPI information and trend analysis, and benchmarking of companies' performance against agreed measures.
  • Fort holder of the analysis of the monthly financial dashboards; Produce and analyze the required suite of financial reports and providing commentary on the same, identifying and acting on key findings.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the Board and Senior Management.
  • Develop process for forecasting financial performances and metircs
  • Custodian of the financial management of the companies and the group as a whole
  • Budget planning and reforecasting
  • Lead the treasury function directly or through partners like Wealth Managers
  • Simplify the complex
  • Financial Compliance as per the geo presence of the subsidiary companies
  • Build a world-class team so that the Finance function is a true blue enabler function
  • Utilise government incentives as available per country per company and group
Secondary Functions:
  • Provide specific strategic financial advice and analysis to companies in relation to proposed programs, projects, and initiatives, particularly in relation to financial risks and implications and commercial considerations.
  • Oversee short, medium and long-term budgetary planning, forecasting, and cost management in alignment with companies' strategic plans.
  • Managing risk framework, including all aspects of legal compliance, and strategic and operational risk identification and monitoring.
  • Ensuring that companies' financial risk and exposure are prudently managed, including management of tax liabilities.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with stakeholders on financial matters
  • Developing and maintaining a strong working relationship with bankers and other funding organizations
  • ROI tracking for investments
  • Nurture and nourish banking relationships

  • Contribute to business strategy and ensure financial objectives are aligned across the respective companies
  • Ensure funding lines are in place and proactively manage with bankers as needed.
  • Continual improvement to foreign exchange management
  • Support the Senior Leadership team in developing projects for long term diversification of revenue streams
  • Providing financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial function discipline
  • Maintain, accountable for and provide advice from a financial perspective on any contracts into which companies may enter.
  • Compliance with all statutory. Forex and tax requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective and consistent financial management systems, policies, standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Act as a center of excellence in key corporate areas of finance, strategy, investment, decision support, risk, and value management.
  • Compliance to transfer pricing requirements of different entities in the group. Managing operating company's properties and assets.
  • Ensuring adequate insurance coverage is taken out; and management of all insurance claims.
  • Review all formal procedures, process, and administration, recommending improvements to the systems in place and managing the operations going forward concerning the activities of the shared service for the Group
  • Review, recommend and manage Group-wide shared services as appropriate
  • Maintain and enhance the organization's shared services planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and policies, programs and practices Overall responsibility for the efficient and active support of the business as it relates to the administrative and financial management of the shared services
Profile:
  • Meaningful financial plans and annual resource allocation.
  • Providing financial reporting services that support group companies in managing their planned goals and economic outcomes.
  • Enhance Board-level reporting.
  • Report forecast of cash flows and fund flows
  • Variance Analysis of the businesses (Actuals vs. Budgets)
  • Monthly reporting on the numbers of the companies and the group as a whole via the financial dashboards
  • Periodic reporting on the financial performance of the financial investment portfolio
  • Publish Timely Financial Reports for various stakeholders
  • Provide alerts and raise red flags on matters that are likey to impact financial performance, cash flows and fund flows of the company
  • Report any new risk and its recommended mitigation plan
  • Ensure that companies maintain financial record systems following Accounting standards of respective geography.
Requirement:
  • Chartered Accountant
  • Experience in managing a holding company with subsidiary companies in India and Other countries (US & UK)
  • Experience in managing F&A and consolidation of companies in India as well as in US / UK
  • Experience in BPO/KPO - NonVoice
  • Chennai based
