- Responsible for delivering analytics engineering projects that advance the Analytics data roadmap for the Caribbean region.
- Implement services and components to enable enterprise-wide use of data
- Participate in design discussions with stakeholders focused on scalability, design and implementation best practices
- Automates analytics solutions including predictive model scoring and business intelligence reporting
- Work closely with IT&S, Data office, software/data engineers and DevOps to build analytical capabilities that drive real business outcomes
- Support and maintain a successful product
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Supporting Caribbean, Central America and Uruguay
- Bilingual English/Spanish is an asset
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science with a sound industry experience (3+ years) in various roles.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience with hands-on development
- 3+ years’ experience deploying data engineering solutions in a production setting
- 3+ years’ experience with relational database (Sql Server), Python, R or Scala. (Production level coding)
- Experience with scalable distributed data pipelines using open source tools and big data technologies such as Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Storm, ELK, etc.
- Experience of designing scalable solutions with proficiency in use of data structures and algorithms
- Experience in cloud-based environment such as GCP with PaaS & IaaS
- Experience of working with agile methodologies in a team with continuous collaboration
- MySQL, SQL, Stored Procedures
- HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, Pig, Hive, HBase, Zookeeper, Oozie
- Python, Scala, Java
- Strong ETL Experience
- Spark, Spark Streaming
- Data Modeling (Basic Level) experience
- Data Standardization/Canonical Data Format definition
- Data Integration Patterns
- Data Quality/Lineage Solutions
- Performance Benchmarking and Tuning
- Data Conversion and Migration between different databases
- PowerBI
