Job description

As the People Data & Insights Analyst you will be a key member of the People & Organization (P&O) analytics team at VCA, responsible for leading the development and implementation of data-driven insights and strategies to support our People and Organization initiatives. In this role, you will lead the analysis and interpretation of data organization's workforce and people OGSMs. As a strong collaborator, you will work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including VCA P&O leaders, Talent Acquisition Partners, Finance Partners, Operations leaders, and partners at Mars Veterinary Health, to provide insights and recommendations on issues such as hiring and recruitment, employee retention, workforce planning, and training and development.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development and execution of data strategies that align with VCA’s P&O goals and OGSMs.

  • Analyze workforce data to uncover trends and provide strategic recommendations on hiring, retention, workforce planning, and development.

  • Design and maintain dashboards and reporting tools using platforms like Workday and Power BI to deliver insights in a dynamic, user-friendly format.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Talent Acquisition, Finance, Operations, and Mars Veterinary Health partners—to ensure data integrity and alignment.

  • Conduct data audits and manage data ecosystem cleanup outside of Workday.

  • Develop and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of P&O initiatives and support continuous improvement.

  • Champion a “pull” approach to data—empowering stakeholders to access insights when and how they need them.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Human Resources, or a related field

  • 5–7 years in a related field, with at least 3 years in an analytics or data-focused role.

  • Proven experience implementing P&O analytics and insights strategies.

  • Proficiency with tools such as Power BI, Visier, and knowledge of APIs and Data Analysis Exchange.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Additional Information:

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 - $114,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
