The Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit Procurement Team has an exciting opportunity for a Sr Manager, Procurement to lead a team of Acquisition Professionals in the procurement activities associated with the sourcing and acquisition of Engineered Items requirements for the fast-paced LADS portfolio of programs.  You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic growth-oriented environment that supports a broad portfolio of programs across multiple Mission Areas.

What you Will Do:

Lead and manage a team of acquisition professionals who are responsible for supplier subcontract management.

Partner with our suppliers to drive effective performance, strong relationship, and reliable health within the supply chain. Suppliers are managed based on risk and impact while constraints are removed across the value stream by engaging with suppliers using established best practices:

Manages internal customer and/or supplier issues

Manage financial goals in relation to subcontract deliveries

Drive the success of meeting business factory MRP

Drive KPI Improvement Targets

Develop plans to promote performance improvements

Provide guidance regarding subcontract management of purchase orders utilizing integrated supply chain models. Primary capabilities in subcontract management such as the following will be needed:

Preparation of all manner of solicitations including RFQ, RFP, and RFI

Analyze quotations/proposals utilizing price/cost analysis techniques

Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms)

Place Purchase Orders of high dollar levels and procurement complexity

Perform risk analysis, and develop mitigation plans and solutions to problems

Travel to RTX and supplier facilities as deemed necessary - typical travel may be monthly or more.

Qualifications you Must Have:

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant Experience. OR an Advanced degree and 7 years of relevant experience in supply chain management or similar role.

Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) or within other heavily regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, medical, space, aviation, power generation or automotive

Supervisory/leadership experience leading a team

Experience in written contractual authorization/vehicles (Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, etc.)

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Finance or STEM field

Experience in the Aerospace industry

Ability to analyze Cost and Pricing Data and determine proposal compliance

Ability to understand technical requirements of procured hardware and services including Statements of Work (SOW)

Ability to process information and manage multiple conflicting priorities to drive to successful outcome (i.e., multi-task)

Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one work area

Broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization

This is a Remote Position: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
