Description
At K1x, we’re redefining how accounting firms handle tax season—bringing automation, structure, and confidence to complex filing workflows. As a Solution Consultant, you play a critical role in helping firms get up and running, use the platform effectively, and maximize their value from day one.
You bring a strong understanding of tax workflows, multi-entity operations, and the real-world constraints firms face. You thrive in moments of hands-on client interaction—whether leading demos during the sales process, guiding firms through onboarding milestones, or stepping into high-risk situations with clarity and empathy. You’re not responsible for long-term relationship management—but you make sure each relationship starts off strong.
Your mission is to deliver compelling, workflow-aligned demos that drive confidence in the sales process, then guide new clients through onboarding with clear, contextual training. You help lay the groundwork for retention by ensuring clients understand how the platform fits into their tax processes, trust it to meet critical deadlines, and achieve meaningful early wins.
Success Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Increase new client conversion through targeted demos and pre-sale support
- Improve implementation success and reduce time to first value through structured onboarding execution
- Drive client confidence through effective training, improving filing readiness and satisfaction
- Identify and surface early risks or enablement gaps to Account Management
- Reduce escalations by proactively guiding clients through setup, training, and usage milestones
- Provide Sales, Product & Account Management feedback to improve the onboarding experience
Sales Enablement & Demo Execution
- Deliver demos tailored to client tax workflows, entity structure, and seasonality needs
- Support Sales in objection handling and RFP responses with workflow-based consultation
- Lead early-stage product webinars and education sessions for prospects
Onboarding Execution & Enablement
- Create, execute, and adapt onboarding playbooks in coordination with implementation and support resources to address specific client requirements
- Train clients on system setup, filing workflows, and best practices for complex tax environments
- Guide firms through critical deadlines, ensuring confidence and platform familiarity
- Provide structured support to ensure a smooth launch and early client success
Escalation Support & Risk Mitigation
- Step into high-risk or stalled accounts to provide fresh perspectives and resolve roadblocks
- Partner with Account Managers to surface risks and recommend next steps
- Provide targeted and proactive guidance during deadline periods and escalations
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Lead the transition between Sales & Account Managers post-contract signing.
- Provide feedback to Product and Marketing based on real-world client interactions
- Keep demo and training assets up to date with the latest feature enhancements
Requirements
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of experience in tax technology, implementation, or solution consulting within a SaaS company
- Deep familiarity with tax workflows, multi-entity structures, and client expectations around deadlines
- Strong experience in live demo environments and delivering high-impact client training
- Excellent communication skills, particularly when teaching and simplifying complex systems
- Experience supporting onboarding, managing escalations, and helping clients navigate change
- Knowledge of CRM and project management tools like HubSpot, Asana, or similar
- Exceptional attention to detail with an empathetic and proactive approach to client success
