Job Overview
The HR Manager will oversee core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations. This role requires a strategic thinker who can also handle daily operations, collaborate effectively across all levels, and provide pragmatic, consultative support to managers and employees.
Responsibilities
Build strong relationships across all operating divisions to understand its people challenges with a view to proactively address and manage, to achieve positive HR outcomes
Providing support with our recruitment process including but not limited to creating and updating position descriptions, drafting job advertisements, reviewing and shortlisting candidate applications, conducting phone screens and reference checks
Manage all facets of employee relations, including management of grievances and other disputes.
Developing, implementing, and actively managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle
Develop and implement HR policies procedures and frameworks
Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations
Manage employee relations and provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters
Manage the performance management process, including conducting performance evaluations and coaching managers on how to address performance issues
Drive retention and engagement initiatives in partnership with Practice Managers
Requirements
Previous experience in an HR leadership role
Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field
5+ years of experience in HR
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Technically savvy with the ability to optimize current HR systems
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, exercising tact and ensuring confidentiality
