Summary of Position

SANS is seeking a Junior Coordinator, Partner Programs to join the Mission business unit. The primary goal of the Jr. Coordinator is to ensure effective delivery of reskilling, talent pipeline, and upskilling programs that focus on growing the cybersecurity workforce (the Mission) and driving thought leadership and impact across the industry. These programs have a focus on expanding the cybersecurity talent pipeline and reaching new audiences to strengthen the industry. Additional areas may be added in the future. The candidate will work with program partners and internally across SANS to facilitate program delivery, ensure we meet expectations, produce reports, coordinate logistics, conduct research and analysis, and more. The candidate will need to work across the organization to “get things done,” and SANS envisions a proactive candidate with room for growth in this role.

 

We are looking for an individual who has initiative, tenacity, integrity, humility, and the drive to pursue excellence. The right individual would also be a self-starter who is adaptable, has excellent organizational skills, can be relied on, is detailed oriented and self-driven, and can work well individually or as part of a team. The individual will also need to build knowledge of SANS back-end systems and products. This is a telecommuting position, so the right individual would need to be comfortable working in a home office setting. The position requires minimal travel in support of business meetings, likely less than 10%.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with non-profit partners, program sponsors, and employer partners to meet deliverables in terms of program design, implementation, student outcomes, career placement, etc. for reskilling, talent pipeline, and upskilling programs
  • Work closely with the SANS Academies team that leads delivery of programs to gather and analyze data as well as coordinate with partners
  • Complete research projects related to partner requests, SANS thought leadership initiatives, and partnership business development efforts. 
  • Use of SANS-approved AI tools to streamline above and below tasks.
  • Work with marketing to draft communications materials, email templates, social copy, etc.
  • Work with external program partners to promote reskilling programs, especially related to SANS commitment to engage under-resourced career changers
  • Coordinate recurring program reviews and outline areas for improvement, gather data to produce reports for internal and external use, etc.
  • Coordinate course and product registration for Mission and Partner Program students
  • Coordinate SANS Voucher utilization for Mission Programs
  • Coordination of in-person or online event planning, RSVP tracking, etc.
  • Data management and analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a current SANS employee or contractor to be eligible for this position
  • Past experience (including internships) in a related role, ideally in training, education, or at a business-to-business, services, or software as a service company
  • Ability to build relationships and trust with internal teams across the organization
  • Experience conducting stakeholder and policy research
  • Experience using AI tools to streamline tasks and produce quality outputs
  • Passion for SANS mission to close cybersecurity skills shortage and reach untapped talent
  • Experience with data management and analysis
  • Ability to manage projects and deadlines
  • CRM, MS Office, and experience hosting virtual meetings required
  • Ability to learn SANS internal registration and voucher systems

Reporting Relationships

This position reports to Director of Mission Programs & Partnerships and has no direct reports.


Work Environment

Remote work environment with program partners spread across all N. America time zones. Flexible work hours as needed.

The base salary range for this position is between $45,000 and $50,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location and relevant experience, education, certifications, and years of experience. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
