Job description

Team Lead, Business Development EMEA

Location: Dublin, Ireland

About the Role:

We are seeking a driven and experienced Team Lead to scale our Business Development Representative (BDR) team in Dublin. This Player/Coach role will be responsible for driving lead generation, developing high-performing BDRs, and implementing strategic initiatives to achieve ambitious revenue targets in the EMEA region. You will be a key contributor and will work closely with BDRs, Field Account Executives, and Leaders to drive growth and success in the region. 

Responsibilities:

BDR Responsibilities (75%): 

  • Generate Qualified Leads: Proactively identify and qualify leads through strategic outbound campaigns (calls, emails, LinkedIn) in collaboration with 2-4 Field Account Executives.
  • Provide continuous coaching, conduct regular performance reviews, and foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
  • Develop and implement strategic outbound campaigns and lead generation initiatives, analyzing sales data to optimize team performance and align with sales and marketing goals.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance lead generation efficiency, develop best practices for lead qualification and handoff, and ensure consistent use of CRM and sales enablement tools.
  • Collaborate closely with Field Account Executives, Marketing, and Sales Operations teams, providing feedback to improve marketing campaigns and sales strategies.

Team Leadership & Management (25%):

  • Act as a coach for existing BDRs in Dublin while aligning with the Director of Sales Development on strategy, enablement, and development of the team. 
  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership, and develop regular reports on team performance, pipeline development, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development to ensure BDRs achieve and exceed their individual and team targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Manage team morale and motivation, creating a positive and collaborative work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a Sales Development Representative or similar role, with a proven track record of exceeding targets.
  • Strong understanding of the sales development process and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and prospects.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Resides in or near Dublin, Ireland.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in a sales management or team lead role in a BDR/SDR environment
  • Experience in the technology or cybersecurity industry.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), outbound sales tools (e.g., Outreach), contact databases (e.g., ZoomInfo), and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse data and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience in the EMEA market
