About the role:

The Regional Business Manager is responsible for sales activities including generating demand for Takeda’s Hematology portfolio primarily with clinicians treating patients with Bleeding Disorders Hemophilia and new account development and/or expanding existing accounts in the non-acute segment within an established geographic territory.  Primary customers are physicians and health care professionals within Hematology Treatment Centers (HTCs) and Hematology/Oncology independent offices. You will report to the Regional Business Lead - HEM.

Delta Region geography includes Houston, TX/Louisiana/Mississippi/Tennessee

How you will contribute:
  • Takeda Hematology Regional Business Manager is focused on meeting the needs of Health Care Providers across the Hematology portfolio and driving results across multiple brands.

  • Execute tactics strategically within region to meet or exceed sales quotas.

  • Analyze and interpret data for developing and executing effective sales strategies, identify and develop KOLs, collaborate with Specialty Pharmacies, effective resource utilization, and ability to manage in a sophisticated business model influencing a diverse set of stakeholders in multiple sites of care.

  • Effective cross-functional communication to share best demonstrated practices, key learnings and provide support to team members.

  • Develop and maintain disease state expertise, product knowledge, effective resource utilization, and ability to manage in a sophisticated business model influencing a diverse set of stakeholders across multiple sites of care

  • Coordinate local customer needs and insights with overlapping Key Account Manager (KAM) and Community Education Specialist (CES) as needed within appropriate regulations)

  • Become a clinical expert regarding bleeding disorders disease information and Takeda’s portfolio of Hematology products

  • Analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies.

  • Working knowledge of accounts in a territory and relationships with Health Care Providers (HCPs) and Hematology Treatment Centers (HTCs).

  • Empowered to manage territory and achieve role expectations within compliance guidelines.

  • Build and model a culture of questioning and constructive challenge and collaboration to foster openness and candid dialogue among the BUs and regions and other decision-making bodies.

  • Generate breakthrough solutions and enable others to do the same. Draw on unexpected or seemingly unrelated ways of thinking. Incorporate stakeholder feedback to improve the business.

  • New product launch success

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 5+ years of demonstrated successful relevant healthcare sales experience in managing and being accountable for own territory required.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical sales including working with payor and/or reimbursement situations and managing a large geography with diverse customer types.

  • 65% travel is required and may involve visits to remote or urban areas either individually or with other personnel.

  • Must have good organization and time management skills.

  • Working knowledge of accounts in a territory and relationships with HCP

  • Results Driven – a track record of results and compliance throughout the career.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older with valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record

  • Must have authorization and ability to drive a company leased vehicle or rental

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position and continued employment is contingent upon the employee successfully passing mandatory product training which includes written and oral examinations.

  • External Takeda Hires Only: During that training period, the employee will be classified as a non-exempt employee and will be eligible for overtime during the training period only in accordance with applicable federal and/or state law but the employee will not be eligible for any Takeda related sales incentive programs and/or other production based bonuses.  The training period will consist of live instruction, independent study, role play, and other training related activities which should take no more than 8 hours per day and 40 hours total in a workweek. 

  • After successful passage of the mandatory product training examinations, the employee will be transitioned to exempt status and will no longer be eligible for overtime.   They will then be paid on a bi-weekly basis and eligible to participate in various Takeda related sales incentive programs and/or contests.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$66.54 - $91.49

The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives.
