Job description

The Opportunity

Praxis is seeking an energetic and creative individual to fill the role of Associate Director, Corporate Communications.  You will work closely with leadership to continuously develop and execute on our corporate communications strategy – one that is aligned to broaden awareness of Praxis and increase understanding of our unique pipeline.  In this cross-collaborative role you will have the ability to work with our program and agile teams, providing guidance and best practices related to translating communications strategies into meaningful outcomes.  You are flexible and excel at working with internal and external stakeholders.  You relish new challenges and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to tackle a wide range of issues.  Ideally you have experience at an innovation company or in an agency role supporting an innovation company – working within the biotech industry is a plus.  This position reports to the CFO and will be embedded with our Communications agile team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with leadership on development of corporate communications strategy including key messaging, thought leadership, creative content development and other tactics that strengthen awareness and understanding of Praxis and our unique pipeline.
  • Coordinate efforts across the portfolio to leverage synergies & efficiencies through consistency in messaging, effective utilization of external partners, and the application of targeted communication tactics.
  • Partner with our Program Executives to develop specific strategies and execute tactics that support each team’s activities in clinical trial execution, KOL and patient engagement, and publications.
  • Develop corporate communications materials including Q&As, fact sheets, executive talking points, social media materials, and website content in collaboration with internal partners and our key external vendors. Manage press release drafting and distribution, including internal review sessions with program executives, advocacy, commercial, finance, medical affairs and others as needed.
  • Support engagement with investors through communication updates and Praxis participation at industry conferences.
  • Management of Praxis corporate website, ensuring up-to-date information, ease of access for readers, clear narrative and supporting content and alignment with corporate communications objectives.
  • Support development of corporate narrative and content development to ensure alignment across external communications.
  • Support internal communications initiatives and serve as a communication resource to other internal teams, as needed.

 
Qualifications and Key Success Factors:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required in Communications, Marketing or similar related field of study; with 5 to 7+ years of experience, ideally in healthcare at a public biopharmaceutical company.
  • Creative thinker focused on execution of strategic plans and guided by leveraging communication as a tool to help Praxis achieve its corporate goals with improved impact for all stakeholders.
  • Excellent written communications skills with demonstrated experience writing effective and compliant social media posts, web content and press releases. Superb verbal communications skills required.
  • Understanding of scientific concepts and ability to translate technical language into laymen’s terms.
  • Appreciation of working with compliance, reporting and disclosure guidelines.
  • ‘Roll up your sleeves’ attitude to jump in and help with projects.
  • Deep attention to detail with experience fact-checking and verifying sources.
  • Strong planning, organizational, time and project management skills; ability to adapt quickly and comfortable with uncertainty; manages multiple assignments and coordinate workflow.

To round out this world-class total rewards package, we provide base salary compensation as outlined below.  Final salary range may be modified commensurate with job level, education, and experience.

$150,000$170,000 USD
