What you will do:

The Senior Digital Learning Experience Designer / Data Center Enablement Lead will be a critical enabler and change influencer as Johnson Controls pursues this mission.
Your challenge will be to influence, design and develop learning experiences for the Data Center business. You will be immersing yourself in the Data Center business and identify underlying challenges to enable business growth via Data Center capability building programs for frontline sellers and frontline technicians. You will influence data center learning deliverables by consulting with business partners (product managers, product portfolio leaders, data center commercial leaders, etc.), and collaborating with fellow learning designers, to develop impactful learning experiences for frontline employees. You will leverage your consultative skills, strong learner-focused mindset, business acumen, a willingness to act amid ambiguity, strong project management skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Directly impact key performance indicators such as data center opportunity growth
How you will do it:
Design intuitive and creative learning and performance support tools, and learning experiences for Data Center capability building programs.
Develop training with an emphasis on innovative learning solutions and performance support that could be used globally.
Apply what you know about adult learning and share what you learn along the way with the rest of the team.
Use strong project management skills in developing outcomes that positively impact the business.
Work very closely with team members who will develop your designs.
Driven curation strategies that pull content from multiple sources across our learning ecosystem.
Act as an internal consultant to combine multiple perspectives into holistic solutions that maximize the impact to the business.
Engage commercial, product experts and business strategy partners from the Data Center business to develop capability building programs.
Create and support a strong global team environment.
Partner and collaborate with commercial focused learning experience designers (peers) located across the globe
Partner with our global, regional deployment teams to implement your program designs and learning solutions.
Collaborate and partner with data center product management, go-to-market business development, teams to stay up to speed with the evolving data center solutions business
Participate in organizational development exercises including group facilitation, team building, and systems analysis.
Maintain current knowledge of trends and issues in instructional design and training.
Understand technology to effectively design your learning and performance support tools.
Leverage innovative learning technologies and platforms to deploy learning, including the Johnson Controls Learning Hub (LXP), LMS (Learning Management System), and uLearn (video streaming service).
Establish measurement and evaluation plans that include key business metrics and return on investment strategies.
Use strong project management skills in developing outcomes that positively impact the business.
What we look for:
Technical- JCI’s portfolio of products is complex, so we need someone who is quick to grasp how building environments are created and business lines organized. Don’t worry, we’ll help you with that! Can quickly learn different platforms like Learning Experience Platform, and various learning management systems.
Educated – Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Adult Learning, Engineering, or equivalent technical / practical experience in the digital engineering field.
Empathetic – Ability to connect with learners while enabling change. Understanding of human-centered needs to allow individual growth through learning and personal development.
Innovative – Thinks outside the box, is creative and forward thinking; constantly looking forward at new technologies or ideas.
Flexible – Very comfortable with grey areas; can adapt and change to meet frequently evolving business needs.

Field Experience – 6+ years of designing and developing learning solutions preferred. (Exposure and / or experience in the B2B SaaS solution space a bonus!)

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $97,0000 -$130,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
