About the role:
veritree is seeking a Planting Operations Coordinator to support and streamline planting operations across the organization. In this role, you will manage the entire lifecycle of a planting partner—from sourcing and contracting to purchasing and fulfillment. You will collaborate closely with revenue teams to align planting opportunities with customer demand and work alongside Field Operations to ensure seamless onboarding, clear expectations, and efficient reporting. Your core focus will be driving efficiency both internally and externally, ensuring trees are planted, verified, allocated, and reported on in a timely manner to deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Planting Opportunity Sourcing:
- You will identify potential planting partners within identified target geographies.
- You will build lists and manage outreach to target organizations.
- You will establish rapport and outline veritree’s approach with future planting partners in anticipation of future tree planting demand.
Planting Partner Lifecycle Management:
- You will coordinate and provide support throughout the entire lifecycle of a planting partner with veritree, from contract to purchase order to fulfillment.
- You will act as a critical point of contact for planting partners and communicate via email, phone, and video as necessary to resolve operational issues.
- You will establish Planting Partner scorecards and evaluate against standard operating procedures (fulfillment timeline, standard of planting, etc.).
Tree Forecasting & Purchase Order Management:
- You will work with the revenue operations team to understand forward-looking revenue forecasts across the current customer base.
- You will translate revenue forecasts into tree planting forecasts by location, site, tree type, or other relevant factors.
- You will translate customer orders into monthly, quarterly, or annual planting purchase orders and coordinate execution with planting partners.
- You will add contracts into the database and review for accuracy.
- You will maintain accurate reporting against tree planting, tree verification, and tree allocation.
- You will identify problems or opportunities ahead of time and proactively find solutions or build strategies.
Workflow/Process Creation and Documentation:
- You will assist in documenting and implementing workflows and communicating with relevant stakeholders—both internal and external.
- You will assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency.
- You will identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in workflows and propose improvements.
- You will identify areas for automation improvement.
Administrative and Cross-Departmental Support:
- You will assist in the preparation of reports, spreadsheets, and documents to advise Field Operations teams on tree planting needs (e.g., where planting partners are falling behind).
- You will assist with maintaining and updating spreadsheets to ensure accurate records of operational and sensitive financial data.
- You will assist with tree order data management within the platform.
- You will provide onboarding support to new planting partners, including contract and standards review, support with obtaining appropriate equipment (e.g., cellphones, drones), scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel plans.
Requirements
Professional Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
- Experience with NetSuite, HubSpot, or other ERPs/CRMs is an asset.

A typical hiring range for this position is $50,000 - $65,000 CAD per year with the final salary offer based on your qualifications, job-related skills, and relevant experience.
