Job description

CAD Technician III

Work Location: Remote - California

Our CAD Technician III will be responsible for supporting a global organization of mechanical, electrical and environmental engineers, construction professionals, project managers and site operations experts who plan, build, and Data Center Program Managers. 

Scope: 

  • Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.

  • Seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of their specialty

  • Works on problems of a diverse scope 

  • Receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instruction on new assignments

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare drawing updates as required.

  • Test CAD applications.

  • Perform CAD length calculations and quality checks.

  • Perform quality checks on current and future tools.

  • Collaborate with various teams to deploy components.

  • Develop procedures for future client IT deployments.

  • Develop data center, network, or lab cable tray designs.

  • Support and backup team Project Managers.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B. A) from four-college or university and 5 to 8 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise

  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Understanding of complex spreadsheets.

  • Ability to work with a geographically diverse team.

  • Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels.

  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and presentation skills.

  • Understanding of at least two of the following: server hardware and software, network hardware and software, data center infrastructure and operations, mechanical and electrical systems.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of data center environments.

Salary Range

$85,120.00 - $134,400.00 USD (Salary)
