Your role in our mission
Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients’ objectives in important areas.
- Be a knowledgeable bridge between clients, project managers and technical staff to define, document and share business requirements and expected impact
- Work with the client to develop business requirements and design specifications at the start of a technical project
- Analyze, plan, design, document or make recommendations to improve business processes to support client’s technology goals
- Help verify that all business requirements have been met by approving and validating that test results map back to the business requirements
- Exercise your ability to use basic analytical or relational database software — such as Excel or SQL — to quantify the anticipated impact of work
- Project strong professional presence and communication skills to deliver messages to business leaders, clients, and technical personnel
- Motivate others to action and communicates key technical ideas in a digestible way
- Help coordinate a business analyst team’s duties and activities on IT projects and nurture newer team members by providing guidance and support
What we're looking for
- BA with minimum of 6 years’ experience eliciting, drafting, managing, and testing requirements from initiation to close down
- 3 or more years of Medicaid experience
- Adept at defining and managing scope, client expectations, and requirements change management and traceability (RTM)
- Strong analytical and business process re-engineering skills
- Experience managing risk, good communication skills and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of SDLC process
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills to deliver messages to business leaders, clients and technical personnel.
- Team Player and creative thinker.
Preferred Experience
- Develop integrated business requirements documents (BRDs) across multiple organizations
- Experience with Medical Claims Processing, specifically commercial or Medicaid
- Experience in case management, LTSS (Long Term Support Services), prior authorization
Specialized Skills and Experience
• Experience in Medicaid
• Software Development Life Cycle experience with (multiple methodologies)
• Requirements Gathering and creating deliverable documentation
• Visualization Modeling
• Business Rules Modeling
• Develop and executing requirements-based test cases
• Requirements Traceability Management (RTM)
• Experience working with project, change management and editing tools such as Visio, ALM, CoPilot, PowerPoint
• Experience with SQL queries and Excel Pivot Tables

- Office hours are 8a-5p mountain time.

The pay range for this position is $69,400.00 - $99,200.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
