Job Description:

Job Title: Operations Analyst Intern

Job Summary:
The Operations Analyst Intern will support the university's Operations team by analyzing and improving business processes and increasing efficiency through the application of technology tools, particularly within the Microsoft Suite. This role is ideal for college juniors or seniors looking to gain hands-on experience in business operations and process automation. The internship is 20 hours per week at $20 an hour. This is a remote position requiring residence within the U.S.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement using technology solutions.
  • Develop and implement automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate/Flows.
  • Collaborate with various university departments to understand operational challenges and propose data-driven, technology-enabled solutions.
  • Assist in the documentation and standardization of business processes.
  • Provide training and support to staff on new tools and automated workflows.
  • Monitor, report, and evaluate the impact of implemented solutions, suggesting further enhancements as needed.

Position Requirements:

  • Must be a current college junior or senior pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must have access to a stable internet connection and a suitable remote working environment.

Position Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to document processes clearly.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Tools such as Power Automate (Flows), Power Apps, SharePoint, Power BI, or other workflow automation tools.
  • Understanding of business process improvement principles.

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university as a junior or senior.

Experience:

  • Prior experience with Microsoft Power Automate/Flows is preferred.
  • Experience in business operations, data analysis, or technology implementation is a plus.

Certifications or Licensure: 

  • N/A

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with other process automation tools and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology tools to streamline business processes.

Working Conditions:

  • Fully remote position, must be based in the U.S.
  • Requires a reliable internet connection and the ability to work 20 hours per week.
