Senior Business Intelligence Developer

JOB SUMMARY 

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer leads the full lifecycle of data solutions, encompassing ETL development, data warehouse architecture and development, data modeling, and budget/forecasting processes. This role ensures seamless data integration and transformation across analytical software, business applications, and data warehouses, delivering critical insights for strategic decision-making. Additionally, the developer provides technical leadership for data solutions across the IT team and mentors junior developers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Architect, design, and optimize data warehouse solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and data integrity.
• Develop and maintain robust ETL processes ensuring efficient and accurate data flow.   Experience with DataStage and Informatica is strongly desired.
• Implement and enforce data modeling standards to support effective data analysis and reporting.
• Design, develop, and deploy comprehensive BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data visualizations, using IBM Cognos Analytics and Tableau.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data, and deliver actionable insights through BI solutions.
• Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of BI solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Provide expert support for financial planning and budgeting processes, leveraging BI tools and data analysis.
• Proactively identify and resolve data integrity issues within the BI environment.
• Mentor and guide junior BI developers, fostering their technical growth and expertise in our technical tools, such as IBM Cognos and DataStage.
• Provide technical leadership for data-related projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
• Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project success.
• Lead technical design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve solution quality.
• Act as a subject matter expert for data warehousing, ETL, and BI technologies.
• Develop a deep understanding of the organization's general ledger and its interaction with the ERP system, ensuring accurate data mapping and analysis within the BI environment.
• Implement and enforce data governance policies for general ledger data, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and collaborating with finance and audit teams to maintain data integrity and security.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or management information systems
• 7+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence development, demonstrating a strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and BI reporting tools.
• 3+ years of experience working with financial systems, including general ledger and ERP systems, demonstrating an understanding of financial data and reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with Dimensional Modeling Techniques
• Prior experience with ELT tools such as DataStage, Informatica, or comparable

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $84,600 - $127,000/year, not including benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at FIFCO USA, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to enable future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous benefits package!
