Summary
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Detect, and report system errors and discrepancies, analyze and develop specifications for the correction of errors. Assist in maintaining interfaces between commercial system vendors. Performs functionality and system testing to simulate end user experience. Perform exploratory testing and analysis for quality assurance before an application is released, to determine if the programming fulfills the requirements listed in the specifications of the new product. May require an associate's degree in a related area and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the insurance field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a manager.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Include the following:
Interpret and comprehend the commercial products that the manager has assigned.
Participate in meetings with Business Managers where evaluation of system revisions are being discussed
Support for rollout of new carriers and states, including coordinating with all functional departments within Arrowhead (Premium Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Mailroom, Imaging, Creative Communications, Marketing Operations, etc.)
Identify and propose changes to systems and workflows based on areas in which are deemed inefficient, ineffective, costly to run, or time sensitive
Lead facilitated sessions with business users to identify system enhancements.
Document and gain sign-off on business requirements
Track project progress through project schedules, project reports, meeting agendas and minutes, and other reporting mechanisms
Communicate with project team members and external customers to insure that critical information is shared and that projects are on track
Assist in organization of release dates for all version updates with carrier systems, vendor systems and business units
Create training material and train end users on systems enhancements and new programs
Maintain good relationships with carriers and outside vendors to ensure timely releases
Analyze results and maintain documentation in accordance with established procedures
Test the installation of new version releases and updates
Provide feedback to Project Manager and Business Managers regarding product performance and testing issues
Assist in the testing of other projects as needed
Document and track issues and test results, then constructively and concisely reports findings or discrepancies
Communicate and coordinate with business managers and carrier and system vendors on software issues, quality problems and corrective actions
Participate in product and project meetings
Ability to understand technical concepts and apply QA methods
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
Trains, mentors and supports other staff members
Other duties as assigned
Pay Range
$65000.00 - $85000.00 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
