Summary:
The Customer Insights Manager is responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting data from various sources to extract actionable insights that inform strategic business decisions for our commercial organization. The Customer Insights Manager must work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to translate data into meaningful information that drives commercial enablement, sales execution, product development and marketing strategies, that fuels overall commercial growth. The Customer Insights Manager also identifies opportunities to sell data sets to interested parties looking to leverage that information for marketing, research and other purposes.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Enablement, the manager will lead the customer insights program, and will be responsible for planning, execution and activation for commercialization initiatives. The role will serve as a strategic partner to cross functional stakeholders across the organization and will deliver insights grounded in human-centricity and incorporate an array of research methodologies and data sources.

- Champion a people-centric approach to build thought leadership and drive disruptive thinking
- Be the “voice of the customer” to provoke impact, translating data and insights into stories that compel action across strategic, innovation and commercial priorities
- Gathering data from internal and external sources, customer surveys, market research and other relevant sources using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Lead planning, analysis and insights activation for best-in-class learning initiatives intended to guide business decisions around commercialization strategies and go to market execution, harnessing a diverse toolbox of research methodologies
- Presenting complex data insights in clear and compelling visual reports, dashboards and presentations for easy interpretation by stakeholders
- Identifying, qualifying, and selling data sets to businesses looking to leverage that information for marketing, research, or other purposes,
- Achieve data sales targets by presenting the value proposition of specific data sets to potential buyers
- Champion customer-centric thinking, maximizing stakeholder adoption of research findings with strong presentation and influencing skills
- Identifying patterns and trends within data to anticipate market shifts and customer behavior changes
- Experiment and inform risk-taking that constructively challenges our commercial strategy, including piloting new approaches to uncover emerging customer behaviors and trends that lead to competitive advantage
- Dividing customer base into distinct groups based on demographics, behaviors and needs to tailor marketing, product and sales strategies
- Translating data insights into actionable recommendations for product development, marketing campaigns, customer experience improvements and business operations
- Drive optimal mix of research studies by prioritizing foundational and initiative-specific learning, leveraging existing understanding and trends/ syndicated sources to connect dots for deeper insights
- Partner with business pillar and marketing teams to shape strategic growth roadmaps, commercial plans and inform the execution thereof
- Developing and executing market research plans to gather specific customer data and insights
- Tracking key performance indicators and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented strategies based on data analysis

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in business or marketing related field
- 7+ years of experience in market research, with a focus on brand strategy, innovation, communication and go-to-market commercial execution
- Strong foundational knowledge of research tools and techniques, with particular focus on both digital and agile research platforms
- Identify opportunities where insights can add value to the organization and see learning initiatives through to action
- Ability to translate data into actionable narrative, with a clear link to business implications
- Be comfortable with working in a dynamic remote environment
- Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI to present insights effectively
- Understanding of statistical methods to analyze data accurately
- Clearly communicating insights to both technical and non-technical audiences and extensive experience in presenting to stakeholders across levels of organizational experience with executive presence
- Understanding of commercial objectives and how data can be leveraged to achieve them
- Ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously
- Ability to manage through ambiguity in business needs and research approach
- Collaborative problem-solving skills and demonstrated cross-functional teamwork experience

- Masters Degree
- Experience in the Vision Care / Optical industry
For US Candidates
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $83,300 to $111,000.
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan.
