Summary:

The Supervisor, Network Operations oversees the Network Operations Center (NOC), ensuring efficient monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of network issues. This role is pivotal in maintaining high network performance and reliability while fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. The position also involves compiling analytical reports on outages, network performance, customer impact, and team metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads and manages technical teams in high-pressure environments, ensuring operational efficiency, swift issue resolution, and continuous performance improvement
  • Safeguards confidential and sensitive information, adhering to company policies and industry best practices to maintain data integrity and security
  • Utilizes and optimizes NMS platforms (e.g., SolarWinds, Zabbix) and other operational tools, including CLI commands, log analysis, performance monitoring, ticketing systems, and data analytics, to ensure proactive network management and issue resolution
  • Troubleshoots and resolves network infrastructure issues, applying expertise in routing protocols, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs to maintain service reliability and uptime
  • Communicates complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders, fostering collaboration and ensuring mutual understanding across teams
  • Analyzes data to drive informed decision-making, using an analytical approach to identify trends, optimize performance, and improve operational workflows
  • Contributes to NOC team development and engagement, participating in meetings, planning and leading weekly NOC discussions, and conducting training sessions to enhance team capabilities and alignment with organizational goals

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with AI-driven analytics tools or explainable AI technologies

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, IT, Business Management, IT/Networking, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years of networking operations experience, telecommunications, or related technical field
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a technical environment
  • IT Bootcamp certificate if no IT degree or less than 4 years of experience
  • Certifications like CompTIA, Network+, Security+, CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or ITIL certifications are highly desirable

  • Requires occasional physical work, including equipment handling (up to 30 pounds) and data center access.
