Job description

Our Journey at Keep

At Keep, we embarked on a mission with a powerful question: Why hasn't the banking experience caught up with the rapid pace of technology?

This continues to fuel our passion for reshaping the Canadian fintech landscape. We provide businesses with a comprehensive suite of cross-border banking services, offering everything from credit cards to deposit accounts, currency conversions, and revenue financing.

With a team of seasoned global startup veterans with successful exits, Keep is committed to leading the charge as Canada's next-generation fintech institution. Backed by VCs in the fintech sector, we're racing ahead, expanding our reach and impact like never before.

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our growing team. In this impactful role, you'll drive data-powered insights that influence strategic decisions and investor relationships. You'll work directly with leadership to transform complex financial data into actionable business intelligence, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment at the intersection of finance, technology, and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creating insightful presentations that translate complex financial data into business recommendations

  • Creating and maintaining detailed financial models and data tapes for co-venture partnerships.

  • Conducting in-depth analyses to extract actionable insights for investment decisions.

  • Developing and improving data analysis processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

  • Supporting ad-hoc analytical requests from leadership.

  • Partnering with engineering and data teams to optimize data access and reporting.

  • Assisting in financial modeling for funding needs and compliance with debt covenants.

  • Monitoring funding availability to support future growth initiatives.

  • Developing Excel models to support strategic recommendations and process improvements.

Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in financial or analytical roles.

  • Excellent Excel skills with proficiency in complex formulas.

  • Experience with financial modeling and large dataset manipulation.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify data inconsistencies.

  • Capacity to approach problems methodically and structure analyses effectively.

Why Join Us?
  • Be part of a growing fintech company that's leveraging data to transform financial solutions

  • Work directly with leadership and have real impact on business decisions

  • Develop your financial expertise while working with cutting-edge financial models and analysis

  • Enjoy a culture that values accuracy and thoroughness over rushed work

  • Experience the dynamic environment of a company that's reshaping financial services

Why This Might Not Be a Good Fit
  • If you prefer extensive guidance rather than taking ownership of your work, our autonomous environment might be challenging

  • If you're uncomfortable with direct, straightforward communication styles, our fast-paced culture might feel intense

  • Given our growth trajectory, processes are constantly evolving - this requires adaptability and comfort with change

  • While we value independence, teamwork and collaboration across departments is essential to our success

What's the Interview Process Like?
  1. Initial Screening: Discussion of your experience and alignment with our team dynamic

  2. Technical Assessment: In-depth evaluation of your Excel skills and financial modeling abilities

  3. Team Interview: Discussion with José Alonso (FinOps & Strategy Manager) about operational integration and workflow

  4. Hiring Manager Interview: Meeting with Josh Begleiter (Strategic Finance & Capital Markets Lead) to assess fit with department needs and expectations

  5. Project discussion: Presentation and discussion of a real-world financial analysis challenge with the broader team

  6. Offer: Join our team! 🎉
