Job Title: Data Analyst/Power BI Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst/Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting large, complex data sets to derive actionable insights that support business decisions. You will leverage your expertise in Power BI, DAX, SQL, and data analysis to design and develop data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that clearly communicate findings to stakeholders across the organization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure data accuracy, integrity, and completeness, while also taking ownership of ETL/ELT processes and ongoing data projects. Your strong analytical mindset and proficiency with data modeling, visualization, and advanced analytical techniques will be key in driving data-driven decisions and improving business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret large data sets using Power BI, SQL, and Python to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Power BI Development: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to communicate key business metrics and performance indicators to stakeholders.
• Data Visualization: Use data visualization best practices to present findings in a clear, concise, and visually compelling way to a variety of stakeholders.
• ETL/ELT Development: Lead ETL/ELT initiatives, ensuring accurate data transformation, cleaning, and integration from various data sources.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (such as business analysts, engineers, and product teams) to understand business requirements and ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Data Querying & Scripting: Write complex SQL queries, DAX calculations, and Python scripts to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve data models, reports, and processes to enhance the data flow, accuracy, and efficiency of business intelligence systems.
• Stakeholder Communication: Present analysis and findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner, supporting data-driven decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience working with Power BI, with advanced expertise in DAX, SQL, and data modeling.
• Proven ability to design and implement data visualizations and dashboards in Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and experience in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for data analysis and automation.
• Familiarity with Airflow and Azure cloud technologies for managing data workflows and integration.
• Experience with data warehousing and working in cloud-based data environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and in teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience with SAS, R programming, or other advanced statistical software.
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and techniques for predictive analytics.

Skills & Tools:

• Advanced proficiency with Power BI, including DAX and custom visualizations.
• Expertise in SQL, with experience in complex querying, data extraction, and data transformation.
• Strong background in data analysis, ETL/ELT processes, and data visualization.
• Experience with Python for data manipulation and scripting.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data pipeline management.
• Proficiency in SAS, R, and/or other data analytics tools is a plus.
