Job description

This is a remote position.

A highly esteemed consulting company specialising in corporate governance, compliance, and business advisory services is currently seeking a qualified Company Secretarial Support Specialist to join their team on a part-time basis as a remote consultant in an independent contractor capacity. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive secretarial support while ensuring full compliance with statutory and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing Minutes: Draft and prepare minutes from board meetings, social and ethics meetings, audit and risk meetings, and Annual General Meetings (AGMs).
  • Statutory Filings: Assist with statutory filings with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), including the preparation of relevant documentation for submissions.
  • Company Registers: Capture electronic company registers and maintain them for clients as required.
  • Secretarial and Governance Matters: Handle other secretarial and governance-related matters as requested.


Requirements


  • Proven experience in a company secretarial role or similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and electronic systems for company register maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
